World Cup 2022 Font

The upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup will be the edition of this international men’s football tournament that features senior national teams, from FIFA member associations. Qatar is set to host the event from November 20 to December 18 marking the time an Arab country will host and only the second time in Asia since the joint hosting by South Korea and Japan in 2002.

With preparations underway for the edition of this tournament plans are already in motion for the participation of 48 teams in the United States, Mexico and Canada for the 2026 event. Due to Qatar’s scorching summer temperatures the decision was made to schedule this World Cup from November to mid December, a departure from its May July timeframe with a duration of approximately 29 days.

The opening match between Qatar and Ecuador will take place at Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor culminating in the match on December 18 coinciding with Qatar National Day. Additionally it’s worth noting that France currently holds the title as reigning World Cup champions.
