TT Backwards Font Duo

TT Forwards Font Duo was inspired by Soviet typography from the 1970s and 1980s, drawing its inspiration from shop signs, posters, and book designs. Our project used these as sources for ideas. TT Backwards Font Duo family is composed of two complementary font subfamilies: Script and Grotesque with each subfamily including five typefaces in five different weights.

TT Backwards script is a monolinear, non-contrast solid font inspired by Soviet posters, book covers and shop signs. With more than 70 Latin and Cyrillic ligatures combined – making this script extremely flexible and sophisticated.

Thanks to TT Backwards script’s vast array of context alternatives, lowercase letters can be combined seamlessly and meet their respective uppercase letters in an aesthetically pleasing and correct manner. OpenType features supported include ligas, cases, ordns, fracs, sups and sinfs.
