Parabolica Font is an eye-catching geometric sans-serif font designed with geometric lines that was inspired by utilitarian fonts of the past; ideal for use on airport CRT monitors to glossy magazines. Parabolica was developed over 10 years. It took much more effort and time than any other typeface that I have drawn. After many pauses and restarts, its purpose gradually revealed itself.
Inspiration for this typeface came not directly from Swiss mid-century designers’ glamorous work but instead from utilitarian designs we encounter daily; for instance Matthew Carter’s CRT Gothic and Video fonts which look good even in difficult circumstances were an important source.
