Netflix was established by Marc Bernays Randolph, Wilmot Reed Hastings Jr. and Marc Bernays Randolph in 1997 in California to rent TV shows and movies as well as provide streaming services to over 190 different countries worldwide.
Their logo is known as Graphique which was originally designed by Hermann Eidenbenz and Ralph M. Unger in 1945.
