Maleo is a contemporary with grotesque origins, taking cues from Benton’s Franklin Gothic & Alternate Gothic as well as contemporaries like Obviously & Mars. Created by Aditya Wiratmaja for his retail debut, Maleo was designed for large-size use primarily.
Its small flare and angled terminal give an approachable, friendly appearance 14 styles range from thin to black and match its italic version perfectly giving Maleo an adorable personality yet versatility suitable for headlines. Opentype features include Old Style Figures (old style figures), Ligature Fractions and Numerators Denominators features to complete its capabilities.
