Lust Slim is a combination of the old and new that looks both fresh and familiar. The series openly copies Herb Lubalin, but with a modern touch. The letterforms are filled with a slyness which is created deliberately the extreme thick and thin lines flow very smoothly without being too much. It is just enough, never more than that. What is it that makes the type series so attractive? The curves. When people are asked to describe the letterforms, they usually without even being aware of it inadvertently connect them with humans and use the adjectives that are normally used for describing physical traits… as a result, all-too-familiar comparisons appear.

Summerour has come to the conclusion that this is an unavoidable and rational occurrence which he has accepted as given his awareness of its impact, hence, he has added some details within the letters to emphasize that. Originally designed to be set up in a large size, the font has both Standard and Display variants which is why it can be used for editorial purposes as well as being suitable for any display need.
