Century Gothic Font

Century Gothic was inspired by Monotype 20th Century which was drawn between 1936 and 1947 by Sol Hess. While keeping much of its basic design from 20th Century, Century Gothic has an expanded height x and modified for digital output based on geometric sans serif fonts from the 1920s-30s that were popular in advertising especially advertisements targeting smaller amounts of text such as headlines.

As it now features 14 weights from Thin to Black with Italics it provides ideal solutions for headlines general display graphics and small amounts of text advertising alike while STD still offers 4 existing weights such as Regular Bold Italics only.
