Aiglon Font Family – Sanserif fonts with multiple type styles are perfect for graphic designing and more cleaner text over display. It is an open face, very serious, but quite easily identifiable because of this feature. Aiglon is a multifunctional, variable type that fits into a range of European stylistic requirements. There’s Aiglon in five widths and there are eight weights for each width together with italics which gives us a total of eighty styles. Unlike other brands there are no super heavy versions in order to be exaggerating, but the mono-linearity of the style is stated.
The italics are made narrower than the romans to make an apparent difference in text, even though they have no structural difference. These italics are built up like romans with all the optimum correction treatment of a slope roman. In addition to setting down a standard width, Aiglon also comes in two narrow widths. The two wide widths highlight a particularity of the Aiglon family on origins the impact of lettering inscriptions on facades and shop fronts.
Last but not least, the glyph set adheres to the Typofonderie Pro 7 standard, all types of small capitals, different number sets, and dingbats have been designed in each weight and with the widths.
