An American hero and former owner of state U.S. Herb Kohl previously owned the team until the wealthy hedge-fund leaders Wes Edens and Marc Lasry and others agreed to buy the majority of the company on April 16 as approved on May 16 by NBA Owners and Board of Governors. A former regional manager was promoted in May 2017 to his present position coming aboard in 2008 after a 16-year employment period with Jon Horst in 2021 as the vice president of basketball operations.
