Holland Gothic Font

Holland Gothic Blackletter Font has long been an icon among type designers, and remains highly sought-after today. Each designer seems to discover its beauty and joy of creation at some point or another. Holland Gothic was designed by Dutch designer Coen Homann following on from Caxtonian Gothic and draws its inspiration from 18th century Duytsch fonts by Joan Michael Fleischmann and Christoffel van Dyck.

Hofmann was inspired primarily by Dutch calligraphers of the 17th and 18th centuries, especially Holland Gothic with its hairlines on uppercase characters. Coen Hofmann created pre-composed lower case r ligatures which can be used with letters b,d,g,o,p,v and W as well as long S for easier composition of lower case letters.
