Chapman Font is an Fierier and otherworldly font created after spending too many long hours staring at all-capital typefaces of long-gone foundries. Wide serifs with high contrast appear to contain numerous characters yet remain neutral in tone. Chapman emerged from these references. Its lowercase was inspired by Scotch Roman design, just as with other original faces.
Chapman doesn’t draw inspiration solely from one source but from multiple genres; its goal was to design something neutral but not boring that could adapt and work for any situation. Idiosyncrasies from other designs have either been subdued or brought out, creating something both familiar and modern at the same time.
