DIN Neue Roman Font

Vibrant Types has unveiled The DIN Neu Roman Serif Font from its own stable of fonts. This classic Roman-style serif font adds an exciting new element to DIN 1451’s technical foundation; its serif counterpart adds warmth and friendliness while keeping to this industrial concept. DIN Neue Roman is a transitional font with more contrast and energy than its slab serif counterpart, breaking convention while still remaining legible.

This family includes 7 weights with italics for each, small caps as well as opentype features to meet any typographic need. Philip Lammert is a type designer who revels in playing with contradictions. This led him to develop this design combining two distinctly different classic fonts into DIN Neue Roman, for his 2015 master thesis at HAW Hamburg under Professor Jovica Veljovic’s supervision.
