Prima Font is an innovative typeface created to aid learning. In 2021-2023, Titus Nemeth of Wiener Schriften and Martin Tiefenthaler from Wiener Bildungsserver collaborated on designing regular and cursive styles of Prima for use by their education system. Prima’s letterforms are closely connected, helping learners familiarize their strokes and proportions prior to changing styles.
Prima Font’s central principle allows for variations, so learners will quickly adapt. Prima cursive provides students with several proven solutions instead of one prescriptive design to assist in developing their individual hand. Separated joints allow for ergonomic connections between letters.
While all connections may not be used by each writer quickly joining each letter together quickly; Prima cursive provides examples as guidance; whether writers choose to follow these is up to them individually.
