Teko is an Open Source font that can now be used for both Devanagari and Latin scripts. This font family was designed for use in headlines and other display-sized text on the screen. The first release consists of five font styles. Display families which have a lot of characters are very rare for any script. On the contrary, in Indian typefaces there are fewer and even more limited character sets. ITF’s designs are not like other firms.
The Teko font is characterized by the low stroke contrast of its letterforms, square proportions and a structure that seems visually simple. The Regular, Medium and Semi bold fonts are the best to be used for long headlines, while Bold is most suitable for setting just one or two words. The Light is a remarkable version that can be used very effectively in big headlines on websites.
