Benton Sans can be an electronic typeface family begun by Tobias Frere-Jones in 1995, and expanded by Cyrus Highsmith of Font Bureau. It had been a reworked edition of Benton Gothic produced for many company buyers, beneath Frere-Jones’s advice. In creating the typeface, Frere-Jones examined drawings of Morris Fuller Benton’s 1908 typeface News Gothic for the Smithsonian Establishment.
The typeface started for a proprietary style, in the beginning titled MSL Gothic, for Martha Stewart Dwelling journal as well as website for Martha Stewart Dwelling Omnimedia. As Benton Gothic, you will find seven weights from Skinny to Black and only 2 widths.
