Sunking Font Family is a modern sans serif typeface, gracefully reflecting the essence of the ancient Romain du Roi with no intention of being a revival. The first Romain du Roi, commissioned by Louis XIV, in 1692, was intended to be used by the Imprimerie Royale (Royal Printing Office) in Paris. This new typeface, which is named in honour of the SunKing himself, attempts to bring the air of the Romain du Roi to the modern and variable.
