Alpino Font - Fonts Hut

Alpino Font Family is a humanist and small x-height optimised magazine and other editorial needs font. The edges of the letters are slightly curved; the effect can be more easily seen in the heavier types. The numerals of Alpino are proportional oldstyle figures. The capital letters are broad, and this goes in good taste with the long ascenders and descenders.

Alpino has also a few exceedingly unusual letterforms: the capital ‘G’ has a beard, in place of a crossbar; the lower case a and g are both double-storey the ear of the g has a flamboyant terminal; the tail of the y terminates in a curve: the cedilla is a detached character.
