Phaedra Charles produced The Mausoleum Font Family and it was launched through her personal foundry, Under case Type. It was watching the letter shapes on a Boston College plaque in 2013, in particular the E, M and W, that caught Phaedra Charles’s eye and reminded her of elements from Art Deco and Serif Gothic. Her “Whittington” design forms the starting point for this newer version.
